ACEMedicine Journal

1. Manuscript Submission

The authors should declare that the manuscript is being exclusively contributed to the ACEMedicine journal and has not been submitted elsewhere.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced on A4 paper.
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on both sides.
  • Figures: JPEG or GIF format for quality images.
  • Submission format: Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX).

2. Article Type

ACEMedicine welcomes submissions of original articles, review articles, short communications, and letters to the editor.

2.1 Original Article

These should be based on original research, containing methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions, with a word limit of 5000 words (excluding abstract and references).

2.2 Review Article

Critical evaluations of existing research, limited to 7000 words, with systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and more.

2.3 Short Communication or Brief Report

Articles presenting results of exceptional interest, limited to 2,500 words with a maximum of three figures or tables.

2.4 Letter to the Editor

Letters on topics of interest, with a word limit of 700 and a maximum of one table or figure.

3. Manuscript Preparation

The manuscript should include the title page, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgment, and references.

  • Title page: Full title, author details, corresponding author’s contact information.
  • Abstract: A structured abstract with a maximum of 250 words.
  • Introduction: Concise summary of the purpose and rationale.
  • Materials and Methods: Detailed methods for reproducibility.
  • Results and Discussion: Text, tables, and figures.
  • Conclusion: Summary of key findings and implications.

4. Proofreading

The corresponding author will receive a manuscript printout for final proofreading before publication.

5. Abbreviations and Symbols

Standard abbreviations should be used and avoided in titles and abstracts.

6. Ethical Guidelines

Authors must address ethical considerations and provide informed consent details.

7. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.

8. Copyright

Content is protected by international copyright law and intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

9. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Each accepted manuscript has an APC of one hundred thousand naira.

10. Review Process

Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers, and the corresponding author will be notified of the decision.

11. Final Checklist

  • Designate a corresponding author.
  • Ensure the title page is complete.
  • Provide an abstract up to 250 words.
  • Format references as per the guidelines.
  • Include headings and captions for tables/figures.
  • Disclose funding sources and conflicts of interest.
